Of Counsel
Amy Devenny, Esquire

Amy grew up in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.   She was raised by a single mother who taught her the value of hard work and education.  Amy graduated from Rutgers University in 1995 and Seton Hall Law School in 1998.  Upon graduation, Amy clerked for the Honorable Andrew J. Smithson, J.S.C., in Mercer County, New Jersey.  In 1999, Amy accepted a position as an Assistant Prosecutor for the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.  Amy started as a juvenile prosecutor and rose through the office ultimately to lead as the Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor.  During her twenty-four years of dedicated service, Amy supervised and served in many units including, but not limited to, Juvenile, Recovery Court, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse, Trial Teams, Homicide, and Domestic Violence.  Amy successfully tried many jury trials to verdict in those units.  Additionally, Amy tried hundreds of bench trials during her time in Juvenile and Domestic Violence.  As the Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor, Amy supervised Major Crimes and was the Chief of the Internal Affairs Unit.  Amy ran the Intern Committee for many years.  Being a mentor to young interns and assistant prosecutors was an important role to Amy because she believed that it was the job of a prosecutor to seek justice and always do what was right.   Amy retired in October 2023.

Amy is delighted to join the firm of Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, PA as 2024 gets off to a wonderful start.

Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new things, walking, traveling, and volunteering in her community.
