Naturalization process

To qualify for naturalization (the process whereby one applies to become a U.S. citizen), certain factors must be met.  While the process seems quite easy, many individuals are unsuccessful in their attempts to become U.S. citizens.

One of the most important requirements is a showing of good moral character for five years or more.  This requirement becomes problematic because there is no concrete definition of good moral character.  Some immigration examiners view good moral character differently from other examiners.  Having an immigration attorney in New Jersey that understands this indefinite concept, as we do here at Helmer, Paul, Conley, & Kasselman, PA, can make all the difference in whether an application for naturalization is successful or not.
