Charles E. Schlager

Academics:  Mr. Schlager graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an accounting minor in 1978.  Thereafter, he attended the Widener School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in 1992.

Professional Experience

Mr. Schlager, a prominently recognized negotiator, has developed a substantial practice in public sector labor contract negotiations.  Mr. Schlager is distinguished in his litigation of grievances, employer unfair practices and complex labor related matters.  He has represented police officers, firefighters and public-sector civilian employees in disciplinary and retaliation matters. 

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Schlager spent several years as an auditor for an asset-based banking institution and six years in sales and marketing, including General Manager of a manufacturing facility in Ohio and International Sales Manager of a Fortune 500 company in Fort Lee, New Jersey.  Thereafter, he was a Director for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority where he was also a member of the Collective Bargaining Negotiations Committee.

Admitted to Practice:  Mr. Schlager is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  He is also admitted to the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
