The law defines parole/probation violations as breaking the rules signed when paroled from prison or given probation. Those on parole or probation can be held without bail and be sent back to prison for violations as simple as the following:
- Failing to report for monthly visits as required
- Failing to pay fines
- Moving to a new location without permission or notification
- Not attending required classes or programs
- Testing positive for drugs
- Not being at home at curfew time
- Additional arrests
