New Jersey Law requires that owners of vehicles carry liability insurance coverage at a minimum of $15,000 per person and $30,000 per accident. Approximately 30% of all drivers carry this minimal coverage. Additionally, there are approximately 15% of drivers who are uninsured. This makes your own "uninsured" and "underinsured" coverage especially important since almost half the time, it is your coverage, not the other person's, that you have to rely on- even when the accident is NOT YOUR FAULT! Additional uninsured motorist protection is not expensive and you should check your policies and/or speak to your agent about this coverage. You don't want to find out that you don’t have this coverage when you actually need it.

Your friends at HCK hope that you and yours are never injured in a car accident. However, if you are, having adequate coverage and the right kinds of coverage are vital. And, of course, please call us if you are involved in an accident so that we can guide you through the process and protect your interests in a difficult situation.
